Part 2 - Desk (from nightstands)

Our other main priority was to get a huge desk where we both can work together, we wanted about 8ft desk, we looked everywhere to find a desk that suits our needs but our efforts went in vain. either they were super expensive or not the right size so we decided to make our own. I had these 2 nightstands in my storage for a very long time, they were old-fashioned but very sturdy and solid wood so I knew I had to use them somehow, now usually a standard height desk is 29" to 30" tall but these nightstand were only 26" tall so we replaced the 3 inches legs with 6 inches legs from home depot which fixed the height issue. we painted the bad boys in the Rustoleum linen white and charcoal chalk paint and sealed them with polyacrylic. they looked amazing after painting.

once done with the nightstands, we went to home depot to get 8ftx2ft thick plywood, wooden trims 2(1"x4"wooden planks) and screws. we then painted the plywood with charcoal chalk paint and gave 6 coats of polyacrylic for the shine and waterproofing. we then painted the wood trims white and nailed it them to the border of the plywood for a finished look. Then added 1x4 wood planks beneath the plywood for extra support and stability and then finally screwed in to the nightstands using 1.5" screws.
